Aug 28, 2010 - Craig Mottram in town to lead one of Geelong's best days!

• Fantastic results today with big wins to the Men in Div 1 , Div 4 , Div 7 & U14 & Women in Div 4 & 3rd placings to the Women in Div 1 & U16 - well done all!
• The Div 1 Men recorded the fastest Geelong time at Sandown in our history by 3 secs & the Women made the podium in Div 1 for the first time in a long time (possibly ever!) & were very excited by that - well done!

• Well done to all who braved the wet & cold conditions of Coliban today. At least the fire at the Daylesford Pub on the journey home returned some warmth.

• A few Geelong runners headed north for a bit of warmth with some great results:
• 10k: Lee Troop 2nd (29.45).
• Half Marathon: Ryan Christian 15th (68.13 PB), Kristen Wyatt 15th (82.10 =PB) & Brett Coleman 17th (68.49 PB).
• Marathon: Rowan Walker 6th (2.20.14).

Jun 21, 2010 - Geelong strikes Gold in Ballarat

• Well done to everyone who competed at Ballarat on Sat. We enjoyed a convincing win in Div 1 Men to move us to the top of the season ladder just 1 pt ahead of Glenhuntly.

Jun 7, 2010 - Thornton cracks 2.30 at Christchurch

• Well done to Colin Thornton who ran 2.29.07 at the Christchurch marathon last Sunday, smashing his PB by almost 4 mins & placing 4th overall in the process. This on the back of a huge 10k PB the week prior at Sandown. Rest up Col & get the legs back in shape to rejoin the team ASAP!!

May 29, 2010 - Tucker backs up at Sandown

• Well done to Mark Tucker who backed up 2 weeks after his GOR Marathon success to win the Sandown 10km Road Race today. We had a fantastic turn out with many great runs.
• Congratulations to those who had team victories including Div 4 Men, Div 7 Men & U14 Men. Div 1 Men finished a close 2nd to Box Hill (17 pts behind) with Glenhuntly in 3rd making it a very close affair at the top of the season ladder between the 3 teams.

• Well done to all who competed at the GOR Running Festival over the weekend. Geelong Region team members had some outstanding results:
• Marathon (45km) - Mark Tucker(1st & course record of 2.29.41), Scott Rantall (2nd), Kristen Wyatt (2nd).
• Half Marathon - Rowan Walker(1st - he may be in ACT now but we'll still claim him as our own!); Ryan Christian (3rd).
• 14km - Jason Woolhouse(1st & course record of 41.38)
• 6.5km - Brenton Rowe(1st); David Carver(3rd)
